A category of dye resist techniques that use stitching (Shaped Needle), binding, pole (Arashi), and clamping (Itajime) to get the desired effects. Associated mostly with Japan, this technique is used worldwide. Samples will be available for close examination. At the end, those attending will select two techniques out of Shaped Needle and binding to concentrate on in the workshop.
